Distinction Between Authentic Chloe Handbags and Replica Chloe Handbags
By: Chris Li | Posted: 22-02-2008
Owning a Chloe handbag is one of the fulfilling feelings that most fashionable women can get. This is because it is on the rise to popularity and it adds attraction to fashion conscious women because of its chic designs and qualities. Most Chloe handbags have metal decorations and quality zippers and padlocks. These features make Chloe handbags one of todays hottest handbags.
For those who want to buy Chloe handbags, they should be warned that not all Chloe handbags sold in the stores are authentic Chloe handbags. Some of them are fake or replica Chloe handbags. These replica Chloe handbags are scattered in different stores online or at base. Since it is fulfilling to own one, it is better to give the distinction of the high quality authentic Chloe handbags and replica Chloe handbags. Price for Chloe handbags matter but there is more to price than what meets the eyes. In other words, some replica Chloe handbags can be priced high as if it is an authentic one.
Chloe handbags are known for its leather material. One of the Chloe items that use leather is the Chloe Paddington handbags. The authentic Chloe handbags of this type have a smooth leather material and are soft and slouchy. The replica Chloe handbags usually have hard and stiff leather materials which are built in patterns. Customers should take a close look at this materials used.
Another unique characteristic of a Chloe Paddington handbag are how metals and zippers are designed and inputted in the authentic Chloe handbags. The metals in Chloe Paddington handbags for the authentic one have usually matte texture and their zippers are usually silver. Replica Chloe handbags, on the other hand, has shiny gold metals used in the design of its Chloe Paddington handbag while its zippers are sometimes gold or brass.
When it comes to serial numbers, replica Chloe handbags have none or distorted serial numbers different from the authentic Chloe handbags. The authentic Chloe handbag has serial numbers sewn in part of the pocket of the bag. The date or the serial number is written in a leather tab. Also, authentic Chloe bags has hanging tags that describes the color, date, and serial number of that specific Chloe bags items while replica Chloe handbags does not have it or has false information about that particular bag.
To be sure about more distinction between the authentic and replica Chloe handbags, it is better to ask distributors or direct manufacturers for further verification. Some replica Chloe handbags look so real that the distinction is hardly seen. Nevertheless, quality control is one feature that most signature manufacturers like Chloe handbag so there is no way that authentic Chloe handbags can be tagged as fake.
Differentiating authentic Chloe handbags from replica Chloe handbags helps women understand the quality of the Chloe handbag that she gets. There is lesser quality for replica Chloe handbags than the authentic one. It would be a waste of time and money to get the replica or the fake one when the customer actually intends to buy the original and authentic Chloe handbags.

Brahmin finds buyers fancy high-end handbags By Donna Goodison Thursday, May 24, 2007 - Updated: 09:56 AM EST
American women's growing appreciation for high-end handbags has proved a boon for Brahmin Leather Works.
The Fairhaven maker of handbags, which fetch $195 to $500 at stores including Macy's, Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom, is settling into a newly expanded headquarters and manufacturing facility that's doubled in size to 40,000 square feet. The company, which ships 2,000 handbags a week, has benefited from 10 percent to 30 percent annual growth for the last five years.
"The handbag market has been very strong, and the market for high-quality functional handbags has just really been on a nice growth trend," vice president Scott Martin said.
Brahmin makes classic American handbags.
"We try to acknowledge fashion, but do it in a traditional way so it's not going to go out of style in six months," Martin said.
Brahmin uses high-quality, mostly Italian leather and solid brass hardware, and pays particular attention to the bags functional interiors. "Its signature look is embossed "crocodile" skin bags. It's hand-stained to really create a rich-depth look that you can't get from a lesser, inexpensive process of just spraying" Martin said.
Martin's parents, Joan and William, started Brahmin in their Hingham home in 1982 with the intent of making handbags that "even a Brahmin would be proud to own." She was the designer; he came from the shoe industry with manufacturing expertise. Their son has been involved since age 12 in what grew into a cottage industry in workers' homes before the company's move to Taunton and then Fairhaven in 1993.
"I would work making handles and some of the other components, and I sort of got into the computer side of the business (then located in a master bedroom closet)," he said.
Today, Brahmin manufactures about half of its handbags in Fairhaven and the rest in China. In 2000, it adopted "lean manufacturing," a concept pioneered by Toyota, that has reduced its Fairhaven order turnaround time from two or three weeks to four days.
"We can carry a lot less inventory and still can be very responsive to what the customer is demanding at that particular point in time," Martin said.
Handbags are ageless, dear ladies Sunday, May 27, 2007
Average Josephine has had handbags on the mind lately.
It's because of a conversation she had recently with her lady friend Petite Patty. The women were discussing whether they looked older, younger or their actual age.
Petite Patty said people often think she's younger than she is.
Average Josephine said she's happy if she looks her age and not older.
So, you ask, how does this relate to handbags? It's because handbags are ageless.
Shoes have ages. Chunky heels look silly on grown women, as do flip-flops with a three-inch sole. Some jewelry is not age-appropriate for some women. And clothes definitely have ages and even entire stores to accommodate them - consider the difference between Deb and Ann Taylor. However, the same handbag can be fabulous at age 20 as it is at age 40.
Oh sure, there are silly little Hello Kitty bags and purses made of pink fur that are for girls, not women. But when you go to the handbag area of any department store, the pocketbooks do not adhere to any age rules.
Currently, Average Josephine's favorite handbag is a platinum metallic number with a rhinestone buckle that her husband, Big Joe, purchased at J.C. Penny for her birthday. It is not an especially expensive bag, but it's of good quality and it adds a little zing to just about any outfit. It's also a good example of an ageless bag.
While wearing a metallic halter top would probably be a bit inappropriate for someone of Average Josephine's age, a metallic bag is just fun. It looks as cute with Average Josephine's dark denim jeans and crisp pink button-down shirt as it would with a 25-year-old's nightclubbing outfit or a teenager's faded jeans and sneakers.
A lot of women - and Average Josephine is one of them - kind of miss being able to wear some of the ''young'' trends when they come out. It's fun to buy that crazy little top that you know will be out of style next year. However, it's not so fun when you get the pity glances from your peers because you look like a pathetic middle-aged woman who can't let go of her teen years. Purses solve both problems.
A handbag is a great way to express yourself and, frankly, there are few rules as long as they're in good condition.

Men go for luxury when choosing handbags
Men are more likely than women to opt for a luxury brand when buying handbags and it's the label, not the price, that counts, according to a survey of wealthy shoppers.
The Luxury Institute said the demand for luxury bags remains strong, with about one third of 1,500 wealthy American shoppers surveyed buying a branded bag in the last 12 months.
The Luxury Institute found that men were more likely than women to reach for a luxury label when buying a handbag 73 percent of men, compared with 50 percent of women and over three times more likely to choose luxury French brand Chanel.
But overall, US label Coach has become the most popular bag among wealthy shoppers, leading with a 29 percent market share with other brands compete heavily for the rest of the pie.
The survey of shoppers with an average income of $308,000 and average net worth of $3.1 million found Coach was the most familiar brand of designer handbags, recognized by 52 percent of respondents.
That compared to 24 percent for Gucci, 22 percent for Louis Vuitton, and 21 percent for Prada. But familiarity with the pricier Italian brands rises as wealth increases, according to the report.
Looking at consumers whose yearly paycheck was above $300,000, the survey found that 38 percent were familiar with Coach, while 34 percent were aware of Gucci.
Price did not come into the equation even though bags from luxury fashion houses such as Chanel, Prada and Gucci, owned by parent company PPR, can cost in the thousands of dollars, while Coach bags generally cost hundreds of dollars.
Consumers said the price was not as important a consideration as quality and reputation when judging between luxury brands. reuters
Coach Handbags History
Coach handbags got it's start when it's founder noticed how distinctive the leather used in baseball gloves was and how well it lasted in spite of rough handling. So began Coach handbags in 1941 with their first refined leather bags, built to stand the test of time.
Six artists began Coach in a loft in Manhattan, New York and the company has since stayed in New York in a larger location to allow for it's expansion. Only the top 10% of quality leather is chosen to become a Coach handbag and the leather is slow cured in large drums with rotation for several days. The leather is then enriched with natural treatments which produces a softening effect to bring out the individual grain of each piece of leather.
Sales declined for the company in 1998 with the changing of high-end handbags to a more eclectic blend of materials such as fabric and mixed materials. The conception among consumers saw Coach handbags as rather conservative and traditional.
Coach recognized the need for change and responded dramatically with it's introduction of the first signature line of bags with the letter "C" print and a mixture of fabric and leather. This style was an immediate hit and Coach knew a winner when it saw one!
Strong revenue growth began with Coach's sales growing from 12% in 2001 to 20% in 2002. Coach will continue to grown in sales with it's introduction of the new "Scribble" pattern, the "Scarf" pattern, and my personal favorite, the "Ladybug Applique" pattern. If you are looking for a timeless classic handbag or something new, just check out Coach handbags for the best of both worlds.
High Fashion And Function West Hartford Native Designs Snazzy Handbags
April 1, 2007
By MARYELLEN FILLO, Courant Staff Writer It's spring, and a young girl's (and even an old girl's) thoughts turn to - what else? - a new bag, purse, pocketbook ... call it what you will. But it's time to dump the battered, boring one from winter and move on to something that celebrates the new season.
For me, it meant searching in my own backyard - specifically West Hartford - for a young lady who grew up there and is knocking them dead in New York and L.A. with her designer handbags.
Cara Landy, a West Hartford native and 1999 graduate of Hall High School, knows her stuff when it comes to designing what a woman needs, what a woman wants and, ultimately, an accessory that makes a fashion statement. As such, all my practical and fashion needs have been met with her "Gertie" bag.
"I've always made my own handbags," says Landy, whose New York City design house is called Showroom Sababa.
"The criteria for my bags is they must have an inside zippered pocket. If it's an everyday bag, it must have a shoulder strap, it has to be designed to keep things organized and it has to look good," says the University of Rhode Island graduate who designs both everyday and evening bags. "I want fashion to meet function in my bags."
And they do. My lemon-yellow everyday bag is big enough to hold all of my essentials, thanks to two outside and two inside pockets. At 13 by 9 by 4 inches deep, this is a serious-size bag that was perfect for my "have to carry" pile of pocketbook stuff, including a wallet, cosmetics bag, camera, tape recorder, coupons and note pad. The shoulder strap was designed to make carrying the bag comfortable, and the attached cellphone holder meant no more digging through the main portion of the bag to find out where the ringing was coming from. Zippers and snaps are heavy- duty, and the stitching is strong. No way is this baby going to fall apart under the strain of its contents!
And then there is the look.
The leather is soft as butter. A series of straps, rings and tassels give it a 2007 look. And the unexpected edgy hot-pink interior is bright enough to make you smile, even when April showers get you down.
I am a firm believer in the adage "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," so when several people asked where they could get a bag like mine, I was more than happy to share.
Landy's bags are not cheap. They range from $110 to $650. Mine, the largest of three sizes offered in the "Gertie" style, costs $520, but my new mantra is I'd rather have one good bag I can depend on instead of several that don't fit the bill or fall apart. Landy's have staying power that is reflected in the quality materials and craftsmanship put into each one.
"I use mostly cow leather because the skins are durable," explains Landy, who creates two or three new designs each year.
Besides "Gertie," the names of some of her other creations include Joyce, Elizabeth, Karen and Dara.
"I name them after friends and family, usually the girls, although my boyfriend thinks I should name one after him," says Landy.
She says her interest in handbags must be genetic. Her grandfather owned a pocketbook manufacturing plant for many years in New York City's garment district.
"It was closed before I was born," Landy says. "But oddly enough, it was located near where my studio is right now."
Cara Landy bags are available in Connecticut at Fiona Stone Boutique, 218 Pearl St. Hartford; DNA Jeans, 2268 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield; Petticoat Lane, 347 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich; Silkworm of Essex Village, 23 Main St., Essex; Tina Dragone, 1860 Post Road, East Westport; and online at caralandy.com.
Flowers put bloom on handbags
A dainty, special-occasion handbag covered with fresh flowers could be an elegant outfit's perfect accessory, albeit a short-lived one. Saundra Parks, a New York-based florist who runs her own business, Daily Blossom, is known for custom floral design. She also makes floral handbags: one-of-a-kind pieces using flowers to transform a functional fashion accessory into a delicate bouquet, too, for special occasions say, weddings or Mother's Day.
The bags may bloom with hydrangeas or orchids, cactus or roses, or whatever plant life each original design mandates.
The handbags are mostly given as gifts and people who order are usually quite specific about the recipient or the occasion, she said. "Flowers are very personal."
Women's Bras Being Used To Make New Handbags
(CBS) SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The handbags are designed to look beautiful, with pretty flowers and feathers everywhere, but they hide a secret: A previous life as womens' bras, reports CBS affiliate WSPA-TV in Spartanburg, S.C.
"There's a little key word and that is bra in 'Bravura' because they are made from bra forms," said creator Jenifer Steller. "That's what makes them kind of exciting for women because they are carrying around their little secret."
Steller says nature and her three daughters were her inspiration to make the handbags.
"They bring me their old costume jewelry, they bring me flowers, they bring me their left over beading and fringe so it's a great way to recycle," she said.
Some bags have been donated to raise money for an old Spartanburg mission, the Bethlem Center. Most are lavis so ladies can take them to weddings or even prom.
"This was created because I like the color I like the contrast in fabrics," said Steller.

Fashion with a Conscience Spotted at Sundance
OLovesM Is Creating a Buzz With Its New Line of Fashionable and Eco Friendly Handbags. OlovesM bag designed and created in Aspen Colorado finding a niche outside of the Rocky Mountains.
Denver, CO, February 17, 2007 --(PR.COM)-- OLovesM announces the launch of their new line of eco-friendly handbags, designed exclusively in Aspen, Colorado by designer and environmentalist, Merle O'Brien. The handbags, totes, and clutches are made of recycled materials that companies would have dumped in landfills, and they are catching the eye of Hollywood's elite and eco-celebs. The collection was the premiere gift bag given to attendees of the Sundance Film Festival and has been the featured contest prize at Ellegirl.com. The entire collection can be found on OlovesM website www.olovesm.com.
The inspiration for the highly functional handbags came while Merle was doing a downward dog pose in yoga class. I looked at my mat and the idea popped into my head. I know I was supposed to be focusing on my practice, but the idea of remnants and materials going into landfills bothered me. So I decided to do something about it, explains O'Brien. After months of research, she connected with companies that used PVC materials and found a way to keep them out of landfills. Her solution? A fun, fashionable, yet functional new line of handbags.
While most of the line is made of man made materials, the Eco-B Jute bag is created with all natural fibers and lined in Fair Trade hemp and cotton.
OlovesM are creating a big buzz amongst celebrites. The Eco Jute bag was given to celebrities such as Sienna Miller, Teri Hatcher, Zooey Deschanel and indie film princess, Parker Posey at Sundance. The line has also been the swag bag of choice at the Teen Choice Awards.
Offering fashion with a conscience is the basis of this young company as OlovesM was the featured gift bag for the Evening with the Stars, a benefit for the United Negro College Fund, honoring Aretha Franklin. The line will soon be featured in the Telluride Aids Benefit Fashion Show in Telluride, Colorado.
Price points for the bags are $15.00 to $120.00 and can be purchased at www.olovesm.com or at Birch Clothing, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Ecology Sports, Door County, Wisconsin.
Handbag madness! Youth Spending Huge Sums on Fashion Accessories
NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Los Angeles, CA, United States, 10/24/2006 - Handbag madness? A quick survey of the price of designer handbags is revealing of the dilemma that fashion conscience youth face when shopping for accessories. Br> Many see the designer labels endorsed by celebrities and want the same. At the same time, it's a lot easier to look like Kate Moss when you also have Kate Moss' money.
This past week people were flocking to high-street in London to spend nearly 800 for a purse from Burberry. Its new 'Manor' handbag fueled soaring sales at the high-street chain. The quilted leather handbag is so popular that it is not even possible to buy one - even if you have 790 to spare. The reason for its popularity? You guessed it, the handbag is endorsed by Kate Moss.
Fine, it would be nice to own the same handbag as Miss Moss, but the price is an issue for many of today's consumers. Just in case you don't want to do the conversion in your head, an 800 handbag is $1,500 USD.
Meanwhile the average selling price for a designer handbag in Beverly Hills last year was $2,000 USD. And some were selling for $4,000 USD and up!
Nelly Sutjiadi, Director of Marketing for FractionPrice.com, describes the prices being charged for handbags these days as "handbag madness". Says Nelly, "I wouldn't pay $4,000 for a handbag, not when you can get a designer-inspired handbag of tremendous quality for a fraction of that price".
It's true that today's fashion-conscious generation really wants to keep up appearances, and how they look is a very important part of their life-style. Hey, if you don't look like you're in you're probably out! But spending 4,000 dollars on a handbag is probably going over the deep end.
One merchant who provides affiliates with the ability to provide high-end goods to customers is FractionPrice.com. They sell online accessories like sunglasses, jewelry, watches, sarongs, Italian charms, pendants, and yes even handbags. And they do it for a price that allows the young and trendy to stay current, without blowing up the credit card!
FractionPrice.com (in fact the name says it all) is a way for young, hip, fashion-conscious shoppers to get their fix of the latest fashions and designs, without the designer-label price.

AVEDA GETS HANDS-ON WITH TOP CELEBRITIES
Aveda Partners with Designer Project Alabama and the NRDC Handbags for the Earth 2006
NEW YORK (March, 2006)"Aveda" is joining forces with top celebrities and eco-chic designer Project Alabama to celebrate fashion, fame and the Earth in style. Handbags for the Earth is a celebrity fundraiser for the environment in partnership with the Natural Resources Defense Council.
To kick off the campaign, award-winning designer Project Alabama has custom-made 500 handbags for Aveda. As part of Project Alabama's signature touch, the 100 percent cotton handbags are made from recycled t-shirts and have been hand-stitched by local artisans in Alabama. The bag itself makes its celebrity debut in over 100 different colors, styled with contrasting stitching and balsa wood handles.
This past October, Aveda sent the virgin handbags, along with fabric paint, to some of the hottest celebrities across the country. Each celebrity autographed the bag and stamped their famous, paint-dipped hands onto the bag. Each handbag will be auctioned in late Spring 2006 with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to NRDC, an environmental organization that works to safeguard the Earth.
"Our goal is to continuously find new ways to strengthen Aveda's earth-conscious programs and to help build environmental awareness around the world" says Chris Molinari, Aveda's vice president of global communications. "We are thrilled to partner with Project Alabama and the NRDC to bring Handbags for the Earth to life."
Being a proponent for the environment is no longer "crunchy" or "out-of-style," said Phil Gutis, NRDC's Director of Communications. "We think Handbags for the Earth is a perfect combination of fashion and environmentalism eco-chic activism if you will," Gutis said. "It is a very powerful combination to deliver a very relevant message."
"There is great synergy between Aveda, NRDC and Project Alabama; we are all greatly concerned for the environment and believe in doing what we can with natural resources" says Natalie Chanin, co-founder and designer of Project Alabama. "We hope this is the first of many collaborations to come."
"Our mission at Aveda is to care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society. At Aveda, we strive to set an example for environmental leadership and responsibility, not just in the world of beauty, but around the world." - Horst Rechelbacher, founder
Top 5 Most Often Carried Handbags
Handbags have become the most popular accessory on the market and there's no reason to wonder why. There are so many styles and trends to choose from that it's hard for a woman to choose just one handbag. Each outfit calls for a different type of handbag so it's hard to distinguish which types are most popular. In order to help you determine which types of handbags are in style right now, I have compiled a list of the top five most often carried handbags. You do not have to choose one of these as the type of handbag you're going to carry but use this as a guideline illustrating which are in fashion at the moment:
1. Shoulder Bag - A shoulder bag comes in many different sizes and shapes. They are usually larger, providing more space for essentials such as your wallet, books, makeup etc. Shoulder bags are meant only to be worn over the shoulder and provide a combination practicality and style in one handbag.
2. Handheld - Handheld handbags are handbags which are designed to be held in the hand and no other way. They are usually smaller and provide less space than a shoulder bag. The difference between this form of bag and a clutch is that a handheld bag usually has a strap or handles. These types of bags are best suited for shopping or cruising around town.
3. Back Pack - Back Packs are very popular bags which are most beneficial to students of all ages. Back packs have two straps which make them better suited for carrying since there is a balance of pressure of both sides of your shoulders and back (as opposed to just one with most handbags).
4. Tote Bag - Tote bags are very popular because they are casual yet very practical. These bags usually fall in the middle of the body, around the elbow. They are big and provide a lot of space for the user. They usually only have one or two compartments and are available with a number of images on them or a simple solid color.
5. Clutch - A clutch is a handbag which does not have handles and is meant to be carried in the hand. That said they are usually quite small and only provide enough space for the bare essentials which you will need. These bags can be casual or dressy and are often worn to parties or nightclubs because they are so small and efficient.
The handbag you choose will depend on your style and your personal preference. As a woman you will probably feel the need to change the style of handbag you carry on a regular basis. The style of handbag differs each day depending on where you are going and which type would be best suited for the occasion. Have fun with your handbag and let your personality show through the style you choose.

Jacquard Tapestry 101
Tapestry fabrics are heavy, patterned or figured hand-woven textile, usually in the form of a hanging or upholstery fabric. In modern times tapestry is used in clothing fashions and accessories such as jackets and handbags. Jacquard tapestry fabrics are materials woven on a specific type of loom known as a Jacquard loom.
The Jacquard loom is a mechanical loom, invented by Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, which used the holes punched in pasteboard punch cards to control the weaving of patterns in fabric. The loom enabled even moderatley skilled weavers to weave complex designs. Each punch card corresponded to one row of the design and the cards were strung together in order. Each hole in the card corresponds to a "Bolus" hook, which can either be up or down. The hook raises or lowers the harness which carries and guides the warp thread so that the weft will either lie above or below it. The sequence of raised and lowered threads is what creates the pattern. Each hook can be connected via the harness to a number of threads, allowing more than one repeat of a pattern.
The term "Jacquard loom" is not a completely accurate description of the device. It is the "Jacquard head" that adapts to many commercially available looms that allows the weaving machine to then create the intricate patterns often seen in Jacquard weaving.
Modern Jacquard head equiped looms are computer controlled and can have thousands of hooks. There is now no need for the use of punched cards, instead the patterns are literally computer controlled.
The threading of a Jacquard loom is so labor intensive that many looms are threaded only once. Subsequent warps are then tied in to the existing warp with the help of a knotting robot which ties each new thread on individually. Even for a small loom with only a few thousand warp ends, the process of re-threading can take days.

More bag for your buck By KAYLA PORTER, Courier Staff Writer Saturday, August 4, 2007 6:02 AM CDT
WATERLOO -- They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and for those not willing to shell out hundreds for a handbag, designer replicas are an affordable alternative to pricey purses.
High-end designs like Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Dolce & Gabbana, Kate Spade and Prada aren't just for Hollywood elites and well-to-dos anymore. Local boutiques like Purse-N-Ality in Cedar Falls and Time 4 Purses in Waterloo provide a variety of budget-friendly, couture-inspired accessories.
"It's so much easier now to get a really fun, funky purse without spending a lot," says Kelly Bush, owner of Time 4 Purses.
But getting the look at a fraction of the cost doesn't mean fashionistas have to compromise quality or style.
Bargain shoppers with a flair for fashion should inspect imitation purses before purchasing, Bush says. Zippers should be catch-free and stitching should be in shape --- no matter what the price tag says.
Bush says demand for Coach knockoffs have skyrocketed in the past year, with ages of shoppers ranging from 6 to 60.
"Everybody loves Coach and asks for a Coach knockoff," Bush says. "A real Coach is going to last you seven years, but I tell customers don't be real rough on (your knockoff) and it will last you a while."
Authentic Coach handbags run around $350, but Purse-N-Ality's most expensive imitation costs $50. While the accessories may look similar, slight differences give the fakes away. These changes ensure the purses are legal by differentiating themselves from the real deal.
Bona fide Coach bags follow a signature pattern with connected C's, but copy-cat styles are decorated with G's or O's. Imitations also forgo the "Coach story" and identification number found inside authentic purses and are built with a mixture of leather or synthetic materials, depending on the handbag. Other than that, it's hard for an untrained eye to spot a fake.
Dillard's handbags associate Summer Baird acknowledges an influx of replicas, but insists most ladies still opt for the quality of the real thing.
"Coach has definitely have grown in popularity because of how well the product holds up," Baird says. "Coach can stand well for years and years, it won't break down. A lot of the leather actually gets better over the years."
It's hard to find Prada purses in Iowa, but many ladies love the "crocodile" skin purses made popular by the designer. As long as in-vogue shoppers don't mind a label that says "NYC" on the popular black triangle in lieu of "Prada," they can snatch a look-alike for around $30 from area shops.
Many trendsetters in the Cedar Valley are willing to forgo a few labels or embellishments if it means getting a chic bag that won't break the bank.
"It doesn't need to say Kate Spade," says Jessi Vickers of Cedar Falls as she peruses Purse 'N Ality's wide range of striped and polka dotted handbags modeled after the sought-after designer.
Authentic Kate Spades range between $200 to more than $400 at department stores like Von Maur in Cedar Falls, but fashion addicts willing to purchase a purse sans the tiny label can get the look for $20 to $40 from Purse-N-Ality or Time 4 Purses.
"People really like the fact they can get six or seven bags for the price of one designer," says Jessica Palmersheim, owner of Purse-N-Ality. Palmersheim says the shop gets about 100 purses a week from cities like Chicago or New York, and most of them fly off the shelf.
One of the store's newest styles simulates Italian designers Dolce and Gabbana's handbags. Carol Schaefer of Waterloo was impressed with the replicas.
"I usually buy Italian leather bags, which are typically pricey," Schaefer says as she inspects the slouchy, oversized hobo-style bag. "It's fun to find something at a reasonable price that looks like the real deal."

Whether you want to buy Gucci handbags or replica Mulberry handbags , you can find a lot of these in boutiques or online.
Over the years, replica handbags are getting to be popular choices among women who want to own designer handbags. If you want to have a bag which appears so much like the real thing, go for replicated designer bags. You can be fashionable without having to spend hundreds of dollars on one handbag. There is nothing wrong with a designer handbag. There are a lot of advantages that you can get when you choose to purchase a Prada bag or a Gucci bag. Among these is the great quality of the material. But if your budget is limited, a replica Prada handbag is just as great as the designer bag. What is more, you can get two to three replica Hermes handbag with the hundreds of dollars that you have spent for a real Hermes handbag.
Whether you want to buy Gucci handbags or replica Mulberry handbags, you can find a lot of these in boutiques or online. When you choose to buy a bag from the Internet, there are hundreds of stores which offer designer handbags or replica handbags. One of these is Eurohandbag, which provides both the expensive and the less expensive bags. Other than handbags, you can also buy a designer purse here. You can select from various choices like a Prada purse, a Hermes purse, or a Fendi purse. Aside from purses and handbags, eurohandbag.com also sells wallets. Among these is the Mulberry wallet and a Dior wallet.
If you want to buy replica designer bags, there is one thing which you have to remember. Despite the word replica , the bags that you will find online does not necessarily mean that they cost less than a hundred dollars. The most common misconception regarding replica items is that these are priced really cheap. When compared to fake handbags, replica bags are still regarded as expensive. For example, you can buy a replica handbag at $200 to $300. This is a great offer compared to a designer handbag which can cost up to $800 to a thousand dollars. Although a replica handbag still costs up to hundreds, this price is nothing in comparison with the actual price of a Chloe handbag or a Gucci handbag.
If you want to look fashionable when you go someplace chic, you can use replica handbags. Although these are less expensive, the elegance is still there. You won't feel embarrassed going to formal events, nightclubs, weddings, or banquets when you use a replica bag. Don't think that this kind of bag is still not worth it since it is priced higher. When you choose to buy fake handbags, you won't be able to get much from your money. Remember that fake items are only imitations of the real thing. This means that the great quality that designers put into their creations is not present in the former. If the quality of the handbag is low, you will not be able to use it for years. The more you use your fake designer handbag, the more the color will fade. Furthermore, the handle or the zipper will tear.
